Animal Alphabet

Preliminary sketches for an Animal Alphabet... not sure how to finalize this yet - keep it black line drawings? Fill them in with
color? Too distracting maybe? Something is missing still...

Also, I'm in desperate need of a new i, t and possibly u... n was
no picnic, but now one of my faves. (Click to enlarge)

  1. i dont think you need a new 'i', i dont know what 'j' is tho and for t, a t-rex would be fun.

  2. j is a jellyfish!

  3. Haha. Brilliant. Leave it black ink!

I got the jellyfish right away. I have no clue what the T is currently. It looks like roadkill. I would opt for a Tucan, or a Tiger.

For the "I", I would maybe do an Icelandic Snow Mole.

    The Narwhal is classic.

    Where's the Quetzal?????

  5. Looks great! I'd leave the black ink. I like your "i" and "t". You could always add the famous ivory billed woodpecker if a change is needed.

  12. I found this to use with my daughter. She is dyslexic and this has been great to help her with letter discrimination. Thank you so much!

  15. This is great. Ever thought of doing an alphabet with the mommy (or daddy) animal as the Capital letter and the lower case letter the baby animal. Just a thought. I have been looking all over for something like that and can't find it. This is the first one that I have seen that uses lower case letters. Thanks.

  17. I found this while looking for something to help one of my kindergartners. It is exactly what I was hoping to find. The only thing I would change is the "u". something with a short vowel, personally. Don't know what, though.
