Columbia University, Rejected Poster 1
I was commissioned to design The Creative Writing Lecture Series poster for 2009-2010 for Columbia University's Writing Program. This was my first idea, using these amazing typewriter sculptures from the talented artist, Jeremy Mayer. Maybe a little too out there for such a literary bunch, this one was rejected. I'm quite sad about it...

My PortraiNet
I guess technically I didn't create this, but in a weird way I also kind of did! So it still counts as an official blog post.
MIT's latest gizmo, Persona, provides you with your online identity
by tabulating information and showing you how the Internet sees you. The first image shows MIT working hard gathering my data
(the program itself is quite beautiful to look at).
This image is my online portrait. I guess you can conclude that Persona exposes how little we can trust digital history compared to oral/written history at this point. I think it actually tells us the exact opposite - that oral and written history are loose interpretations of mankind's exact historical past, based solely on perceptions.
It's good to see design squeezed in at the end like an afterthought...

Moleskine Line Series Redux 1
This time I'm taking my Moleskine drawings from a few weeks ago and bringing them into the computer to try and switch up the feeling with blocks of large, flat colors.

A Site To See
Well, I've spent the last 2 weeks revising and updating my website. Refining the type treatment, improving the navigation, etc...

Welcome To The Real World
A fun poster idea to hang up before any graduation. A humorous take on what lies ahead... In my case I used Pratt, my ol' alma mater.

What Is Graphic Design?
People usually ask what I do as a graphic designer. I created this sketch to show people, which now fits nicely in my wallet.

Abracadabra!
Type study for a current project that I'm working on. I'm unsure about the focus of the story at the moment, but it revolves around the last surviving magicians of a certain time period, dating back to Houdini. After talking with one of the old magicians and going through his photos, books and posters - this should be a very interesting story! (Click to enlarge)
*Here's a cool tidbit about abracadabra that I didn't know until this morning...
