3 Sphere Clock/Calendar
At first I wanted to create a clock that only showed the time, nothing else. So I devised this style where the hour and minutes are divided into three layers of numbers that rotate. My concern being that the hour layer would rotate at a different speed than the minutes layers, which could be potentially pose some serious problems. I don't know much about the technical aspects of this.
But then I realized this could become a calendar as well, so I broke up the month and day into colors to help it read better. And instead of using any mechanisms, this would be adjusted by the user manually as a small desk calendar.

ReplyDeleteDig the minimalist design. What about a 24-hour version. That might make things easier. Or harder. Either way.
ReplyDeleteThe timekeeping movement you're looking for in this case is the 'jump hour' or 'direct read' - some watches that use variations on that style are here: http://www.jumphour.com/ No doubt it could be scaled up to clock size. Neat blog btw.
ReplyDeletethis is creative, a funny way to make something in your freetime and in other way a good control your non freetime, iclusive you can use this as something similar to a agenda.
