Farm Animals
Grid-based, these animals could one day become emoticons or funky designs for a tapestry of some sort.

Oh My Darjeeling
Welcome back and happy 2010. Hope everyone has enjoyed their holidays. I've been away from all things design and computers for a while, so this week I'll be playing with simple, colorful images to get me back into the swing of things again.

Happy Holidays!
The only time people enjoy peas is when they're playing with their food. Have a great rest of your 2009 and I'll see everybody in 2010!~From Somethink Fun and the Merry Meatloaf Men

A Bauhaus Christmas
The moment this idea popped into my head I knew it was going to be a Somethink Fun classic (as well as a Festivus miracle). Modernism is so warm and fuzzy...

Don't be a Drag

Quit smoking the creative way! Go through the same motions you've gone through thousands of times before, but substitute your cancer stick for a pencil. Bite it, stick it behind your ear, flick it between your fingers - you name it. Then just use the Zippo Eraser/Sharpener (sold separately) to "ash" out your pencil shavings. Transfer that nicotine craving into artful expression & create something beautiful.

Will Yum Shakes Pear
Recently I started carving quotes into fruit and leaving them on co-workers' desks. As the day would pass, the carvings would slowly brown and become more prominent. It seemed like a nice, small surprise for those trudging through the workday. Many have been lost to the mouths of the viewers, or the cleaning lady who seems to hate rotting fruit laying around......but I present to you, Will Yum Shakes Pear.

The New York Times
Nothing like coming back from a Thanksgiving weekend to find your mug posted in the New York Times Weekend Edition! Our editor in chief, Jim Gaines, wrote a wonderful column about what it's like being an older guy from the publishing world working with a team several decades younger than himself in the upcoming digital ageof publishing.
Will looks like he has those dreamy eyes going on, in awe of Jim's legacy. This shot was taken pre-haircut, so it's awesome that history will record me looking like a bohemian hipster. However, I'm laughing because Jim is looking at the tiny camera screen when a large monitor is clearly nearby. It looks like I had the last laugh...

O.K. Periodicals #3

The third issue of design magazine, O.K. Periodicals, was presented under great public interest at the Illustrative Festival in Berlin this past October. Now it is officially here for the rest of the world. What makes this edition so special is its cover, which is the collective design of hundreds of people from around the world. It gets to be crowned the first crowdsourced magazine cover in the world, and I'm proud and excited to have been joined in.
I wish O.K. Periodicals all the luck with their future issues! Not to be confused with OK! Magazine... yikes.

demilo

So I have finally finished up the logotype for my friend's band, demilo. The album comes out in February if I'm not mistaken, so I wish them luck!
