Lost & Found, and Lost Again
Ida, the perfectly preserved fossil, was welcomed to the world with large press coverage not too long ago. A 47-million year old ancestor hailed as the "eighth wonder of the world" and more importantly, our missing link. However, there are many skeptics, scientists included. Supposedly Ida is a missing link, but not for the human race, but between other species further down the evolutionary tree. Post this image on the back of milk cartons just in case...

Typophile
Something I have always had an appreciation for, and something that I just don't have a real skill for, is the art of hand-drawn lettering and calligraphy. Even though I only spent a few minutes on this, I find it so hard to get the lines to stay smooth and straight (let alone create inventive ways to decorate the letters!).
If you want to see this done beautifully, creatively, and uniquely - then you have to see the amazing work of Marian Bantjes. Wow.

Art vs. Design
Artists Wanted has created a competition to solve the age-old question: What shapes our world more, art or design? I have entered in to give the Designers a little push. Besides the potential to get some serious exposure, there are cash and prizes to be won.
So please visit my area of this competition here to vote!

UPDATE
I'm very excited to see that The Reason Project is finally up and running (and that they have used my God Exits illustration in their gallery section). Check out the Advisory Board to see the incredible minds behind this new project- I'm honored to be a small part of this!
The Reason Project is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit foundation devoted to spreading scientific knowledge and secular values in society. The foundation draws on the talents of prominent and creative thinkers in a wide range of disciplines to encourage critical thinking and erode the influence of dogmatism, superstition, and bigotry in our world.

Hello
Typically the first word spoken during any communication. What follows could literally be anything. So I have designed a greeting card that allows for such a wide range of options. Neutral, yet engaging colors, and a funky design will compliment the tone you give to most messages written, and allow your own words to shine.

My new, improved web site is up now. I've added a link to Somethink Fun and underway of a highlights page of this blog as well. Next up is a small shop to purchase goodies!
Click here (or the image) to visit.
Chair the Love
The bottom would be cut to allow two different seat angles: sitting up, and leaning back. And of course, the revised model will surely be a rocking chair.
